VOLUME 8

Contemporary Art Chronicle is an independent contemporary art gallery with a particular focus in abstract and minimalistic painting. The ethos of the gallery is artist-led.

 

Contemporary Art Chronicle bring together a curated gallery of artists with a sharp and strong proposal of outstanding aesthetics.

We are excited to announce an Open Call for our upcoming group exhibition VOLUME 8, that seeks to spotlight international emergent artists that focus in abstract and minimalistic art.

​

We invite artists of all backgrounds to submit their work for consideration. Through this Open Call, we hope to bring together a diverse selection of abstract and minimalistic artists worlwide.

OPEN CALL: VOLUME 8

​

Eligibility:

 

  1. International artists over 18 years old are welcome to submit works in the following mediums: painting, drawing, collage, photo and mixed media.

  2. Artists can apply at any stage of their career and from any country.

​

Submissions for the OPEN CALL require a non-refundable fee ($30 USD).

Online Exhibition

Exhibit eight artworks in the online gallery group exhibition.

All enquiries will be forwarded to you. We promote a direct artist-buyer transaction. We don´t charge a commission.

Social Media Promotion

Continuous promotion of the exhibition on Instagram and Facebook during 5 weeks.

We will promote your artwork during the exhibition:

  • 4 instagram post with your artwork and bio

  • 3 instagram stories with your artwork

  • 1 reel with your artwork.

Artist of the Week

Get featured as Artist of the Week in our weekly newsletter for international collectors and art enthusiasts.

Artist Profile

You get an artist profile on the Contemporary Art Chronicle website with your bio, statement, and contact information including links to your social media

Exhibition Newsletter

We will promote the exhibition with our email subscribers list, international collectors and art enthusiasts.

How it works:

  1. Apply online filling the submittal form below.

  2. Upload a short biography and statement in PDF (together may not contain more than 320 words). Upload PDF Max 10MB. Please name the file as follows: FIRST NAME_LAST NAME_bio

  3. Upload your portfolio of recent works in PDF. Make sure to include the specs of each piece (dimensions in inches, materials, and date). Upload PDF Max 10MB. Please name the file as follows: FIRST NAME_LAST NAME_portfolio

  4. Contemporary Art Chronicle is an independent artist-run gallery and publication. We require a non refundable fee ($30 USD) for administration and processing all the work involved :)

 

DEADLINE

October 11 2024, 19 hrs Pacific Time.

 

Selection of works and notification of results

 

Results for this open call will be announced 3 weeks after the official deadline of the call. Our curatorial team will review all the submitted artworks.

 

Selected artists will be notified via email.

 

If selected please consider that we will require high resolution images of your artwork (format jpg; 300 dpi, not over 5 mb, cropped image without a frame).
